First Choice America is proud to fund a scholarship for $500 in memorial of Stanley S. Czahoroski. Jr., who was the former Chief Financial Officer at First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union. To apply you must be a high school senior from Martins Ferry High School, which was the alma mater of Stanley S. Czahoroski. Complete guidelines accompany the application. People Helping People Scholarship
First Choice America’s “People Helping People” scholarship applications are now available at all eight Credit Union offices, but also by clicking on the following link: “People Helping People” Scholarship Application. The scholarships are for $1,000 each. Applications must be turned in by February 29, 2024. Qualified applicants must be a high school senior, high school graduate, or equivalent and do not have to be a first year student. Applicants may attend any accredited college, university, or trade school. The applicant must be a member of First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union. Promoting Breast Cancer Awareness
As we have done for the past nine years, our offices will be donned in pink decor in the month of October. During this time we will be selling ribbons/logos to raise money for Breast Cancer charities. Our staff will also be donating money to dress down during select days in October.
First Choice America cares about the communities we serve. We are proud to announce that over the past nine years we have raised over $50,000 to assist worthy charities in the battle against breast cancer.
Memorial Golf Tournament Set
First Choice America Credit Union made a generous contribution to the Ron “Fritz” Williams Golf Scramble to take place at Mountaineer’s Woodview Golf Course on Saturday, August 19th. The outing pays tribute to the late All-America basketball player at Weir High School and West Virginia University who was a No. 1 draft pick in the NBA.
All proceeds from the tournament benefit The Fritz Williams Scholarship Fund.

Touch a Truck Event Sponsor
Supported by a generous donation from First Choice America, Weirton Rotary’s Touch a Truck event will be held Saturday, July 29th at 10am to Noon at Starvaggi Park in Weirton. Along with the variety of trucks for children to see and touch, there will be free admission to Starvaggi pool for anyone under 10.

WSX 25 Year Club Picnic
Supported by a generous contribution from First Choice America Credit Union, the Weirton Steel 25-Year Club will stage its ladies and men’s annual summer picnic on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Serbian Picnic Grounds in Weirton. The 25 Year club has been in existence for over 75 years. This year’s picnic is not only for the employees and retirees of the defunct Weirton Steel Corporation/Arcelor Mittal plant with 25 years of service but also for active employees at Cleveland Cliffs.
